Many people when starting to work on radiation detectors encounter very rapidly the issue that the Landau distribution is not (efficiently) available in the standard Python package SciPy. There are a number of independent implementations around, and we end up using one of these. In my case, I always used landaupy because it is easy to install and to use.
It would be really nice to have the Landau distribution as part of SciPy, wouldn’t it? Well, there is a pull request that would integrate it in the standard SciPy package, thus making it trivially available for all Python users. If you find this useful, go to the pull request and give it a 👍 so they get more incentive to add it.
